Declan Kelly, son of an Irish father and Maori mother, was drawn to music early in life. Growing up amongst the thriving music scene of Balmain, he formed his first band, The Beefs, with Alex Lloyd and others while still teenagers, and was headhunted to join The Bondi Cigars after leaving school.
A drummer, singer and songwriter, Declan is currently producing his third solo album, as well as a collaborative album to raise awareness for Indigneous issues in Australia.
Declan has put his bank on notice and plans to move his accounts if they do not stop funding fossil fuel developments.
